From September 19 to 21, Val di Fiemme (Val di Fiemme, Trentino) will be the center of Nordic combined. As part of the final stage of the FIS Summer Grand Prix 2025, the overall winners of the summer season will be crowned here and the coveted crystal globes awarded. The international elite of combined athletes will meet for a three-day competition weekend.
The athletes will compete in the summer version of the discipline: the jumping will take place on the matting-covered ski jumps in the Predazzo ski jumping stadium, while the cross-country pursuit will be held on roller skis ("Skiroll") on the streets of Ziano di Fiemme. The competition schedule promises to be very exciting: on Friday, September 19, the women will open with a Gundersen competition. On Saturday, the mixed team competition is on the program, in which mixed teams of women and men compete. The grand finale will be the men's Gundersen competition on Sunday, September 21.
For the Val di Fiemme Nordic Ski Committee, the organizers of the event, which is part of the "FIS Nordic Summer Festival", the event represents an important dress rehearsal and a further step on the way to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina. The competition venues will also be used for this event. Fans can look forward to seeing the stars of the scene and the Italian home team with athletes such as Veronica Gianmoena and Aaron Kostner. A colourful supporting program will also create a festival atmosphere and involve the local population.
