São Paulo – Scuderia Ferrari HP finished the second free practice session for the 2026 São Paulo Grand Prix in sixth and seventh place. At Interlagos, Lewis Hamilton placed sixth, while Charles Leclerc, back behind the wheel of his SF-26 after the first session, finished seventh.
Both Ferrari drivers began the session on November 6, 2026, on medium tyres. Leclerc recorded a lap of 1:12,390 minutes, followed by Hamilton on 1:12,644 minutes. Both cars then switched to soft tyres, on which they set their fastest laps of the session.
Tyre strategy and lap times
Lewis Hamilton’s best time on soft tyres was 1:11,213 minutes; his teammate Charles Leclerc recorded 1:11,483 minutes. After the fast laps, the drivers continued with longer runs, using both the soft tyres already used and the medium tyres from the start of the session.
Hamilton completed 35 laps in total, two more than Leclerc’s 33. The data gathered should help Scuderia Ferrari HP further set up its SF-26 cars for the upcoming qualifying session and race.
