São Paulo – Scuderia Ferrari HP finished first free practice for the São Paulo Grand Prix on November 6, 2026, with Lewis Hamilton fourth and Dino Beganovic 21st. Beganovic drove in place of Charles Leclerc to comply with the rule requiring a driver with fewer than three Grand Prix starts to replace a regular driver in two sessions per season.
Lewis Hamilton started the session on hard tyres and recorded a time of 1:13,246 minutes. Dino Beganovic also began on hard tyres and used aerodynamic rakes to collect data. He set a lap time of 1:14,357 minutes.

Later in the session, Hamilton switched to soft tyres and set his personal best of 1:12,041 minutes. The Briton completed 31 laps in all. Beganovic did not get onto the softest tyres until the final part of practice.
A technical problem with his SF-26 car forced the young Swedish driver back to the pits, preventing him from improving his lap time. Beganovic ended practice after eleven laps.
