A terrible incident occurred yesterday near Imperia: A 68-year-old Austrian man has died as a result of anaphylactic shock he suffered after being attacked by an aggressive swarm of wasps. The man was working in a field in Ceriana near Imperia in Liguria when he came across a wasp nest.
The insects stung him several times. The emergency services were called immediately. Despite the rapid intervention of the paramedics and the request for a rescue helicopter, the 68-year-old could no longer be saved.
