On Friday evening, August 1, 2025, a mysterious incident occurred on the Brenner highway (A22) in Italy. A 49-year-old German tourist jumped out of a moving car at around 8:15 pm. The incident occurred in the section between the Ala-Avio and Rovereto Sud toll booths.
It is not yet clear how this could have happened. The woman suffered serious injuries during the jump, but her life is not in danger. A rescue helicopter immediately took her to Santa Chiara Hospital in Trento. According to the doctors, she did not have to be transferred to intensive care.
The traffic police have started an investigation to reconstruct the exact course of events. The driver of the car in which the tourist was traveling is also being questioned. The background to the incident, in which fortunately no other road users were injured, is currently being investigated by the police.
