The Certificates: CILS, CELI, PLIDA, and AIL
For official documentation (residence, citizenship, studies, employment), you need a recognized certificate:
- CILS – University for Foreigners of Siena (very common)
- CELI – University for Foreigners of Perugia

- AIL – Italian Language Academy
