Attention commuters and travelers: The rail route between Brenner and Verona will only be accessible to a limited extent from August 12 to 18 due to infrastructure work. Trenitalia has announced extensive timetable changes, but is using replacement buses to ensure mobility.
Regional trains between Brennero/Brenner and Bressanone/Brixen will be completely canceled and replaced by buses. There will also be adjustments to the remaining regional services: Trains from the south will terminate in Bolzano (instead of Brennero/Brenner), and southbound trains will only start from Bressanone/Brixen (instead of Brennero/Brenner/Franzensfeste). Connections to and from Merano/Meran are also affected.
Intercity night trains are also affected by the closures. The night train 764 (Rome - Brenner) will be canceled on August 15 and 16 between Bolzano and Brenner, and in the opposite direction (Brenner - Rome) on August 16 and 17.
Important: Neither bicycles nor animals (except guide dogs) are permitted on the replacement buses. Travelers are urgently requested to check in advance on www.trenitalia.com under "Infomobilità" to find out about the current timetables.
