Yesterday evening, a 30-year-old man of Nigerian origin was fatally injured in a knife attack in Corso Giulio Cesare in Turin. The victim suffered at least four stabs to his stomach and chest. The attack occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on Lungo Dora Savona and continued in Corso Giulio Cesare 14. The area on the border between the Aurora and Barriera di Milano districts is known for drug trafficking.
The police, led by Davide Corazzini and the Squadra Mobile, are currently reconstructing the incident. The incident was triggered by an argument near a kebab shop, which escalated when a knife was drawn. Despite immediate action, the man died at the scene. The murder weapon has not yet been found. Officers are currently concentrating on analyzing surveillance videos, which should provide crucial clues for identifying the perpetrator.
Patrizia Alessi from the Fratelli d'Italia party described the incident as a "death foretold" and called for urgent measures to be taken against the everyday violence in the neighborhood. This is not the first murder in the area. Previously, 20-year-old Moroccan Hamza Moufiki and 19-year-old Mamoud Diane were stabbed to death there. In the case of Mamoud Diane, the perpetrator is still on the run.
