Mezzolombardo - In the late afternoon of 9 May, the Rotaliana Plain will be the focus of running enthusiasts. As part of the eighth edition of the Teroldego Events, the starting signal for the second „10 Miglia del Teroldego“ will be given in Piazza delle Erbe. As the head of the organizing committee, Lorenzo Santelli, confirms, the second stage of this year's Top7 series will start at 5.30 pm. The route, which is exactly 16 kilometers and 93 meters long, leads the participants through idyllic vineyards and fields as well as along the Noce River before they reach the center of the municipality again.
Competition and fun run for everyone
The 10-mile run is organized by Atletica Rotaliana and is aimed specifically at competitive athletes. The requirements for participation are a minimum age of 20 years (or age of majority for foreign associations), valid membership of a recognized association or possession of a RUNCARD and a sports medical certificate for athletics. Prominent title defenders from the first edition, such as Selina Christandl and Khalid Jbari, have already registered. Those who prefer a more relaxed approach can start the non-competitive 5-mile run at 6.15 pm. The „Memorial Alessandro Tava e Monica Tait“ is open to all interested parties; registrations can be made spontaneously on race day on site without a medical certificate. After the race, all participants will be able to exchange ideas at a pasta party before the award ceremony.
Registrations and further dates
Online registration for the main race is already in full swing. Those who secure a starting place by April 30 will benefit from a reduced fee of 35 euros. From May 1, the cost will be 40 euros. In addition to refreshments, the price includes a comprehensive starter pack, a finisher medal and a portion of pasta with a drink in the finish area. After the running event in Mezzolombardo, the Top7 running series continues through the region. Upcoming highlights in South Tyrol include the Seiser Alm half marathon on July 5, the Ultner Höfelauf on July 19 and the Südtiroler Erdäpfllauf on August 29. The season ends with the Soltn Panorama Run in September and the AgeFactor Run in Branzoll in October.
