Rezzato – A 36-year-old Italian man with a criminal record was arrested twice within a few hours. The Carabinieri in Nuvolento caught the man red-handed in Rezzato as he was in the process of breaking into a parked car.
The response was triggered by a call to the emergency number 112. A witness reported seeing someone tampering with parked cars. Emergency responders arrived quickly and caught the 36-year-old inside a Fiat Ducato. He had smashed a window to get into the van and had already taken several items.
Investigators accuse him of breaking into other cars in the same area shortly before. The stolen goods were recovered. During the operation, officers also found a stolen scooter, which has since been returned to its rightful owner.
What makes this particularly striking is that the same man had been arrested by the Carabinieri in Brescia just the night before. There, too, he was responsible for a whole series of car break-ins. After the police procedures were completed, the man was once again handed over to the judicial authorities. He is presumed innocent until a final judgment is rendered.
