Iseo - Two young sisters died on June 4 on the SP510 provincial road near Iseo in Lombardy. Camilla Galli, 14 years old, and her sister Dana, 23, did not survive a head-on collision. Both died at the scene of the accident.
According to witnesses, their car, a VW Polo, left its lane on a bend and crossed into oncoming traffic. The car collided head-on with a Kia in which a 64-year-old man was sitting. He was seriously injured, but his life is not in danger. The fire department worked for a long time to remove the bodies from the completely destroyed vehicle.

The Galli sisters came from Livigno in Valtellina and were regarded as talented young alpine skiers with prospects. They were sisters of Teo Galli, a 22-year-old cross-country skier from Livigno, who finished fourth in the sprint at the U23 World Championships in Lillehammer. The FISI ski association described him as an integral part of the U23 squad.
