La pittoresque plage de Punta Molentis pr\u00e8s de Villasimius est envelopp\u00e9e d'un nuage de fum\u00e9e. Des pyromanes pr\u00e9sum\u00e9s ont d\u00e9clench\u00e9 un enfer qui se propage \u00e0 toute vitesse et d\u00e9vore le maquis m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en. Les flammes ont m\u00eame atteint la plage, o\u00f9 des sc\u00e8nes dramatiques se sont d\u00e9roul\u00e9es. Des baigneurs paniqu\u00e9s ont d\u00fb \u00eatre \u00e9vacu\u00e9s en canot pneumatique, tandis que l'on estime \u00e0 200 le nombre de voitures qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 la proie des flammes sur les parkings.<\/p>\n<p>Le fort mistral attise impitoyablement les incendies et complique consid\u00e9rablement les travaux d'extinction. Les services de secours sont mobilis\u00e9s en masse : des \u00e9quipes de pompiers, des h\u00e9licopt\u00e8res, des avions Canadair ainsi que des sp\u00e9cialistes du sauvetage aquatique luttent sans rel\u00e2che contre le feu. Les autorit\u00e9s portuaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mobilis\u00e9es pour soutenir une \u00e9ventuelle \u00e9vacuation par la mer. Les d\u00e9fenseurs de l'environnement d\u00e9plorent les \u00e9normes d\u00e9g\u00e2ts \u00e9cologiques. Un \"joyau de l'environnement\" serait litt\u00e9ralement parti en fum\u00e9e.
