Lorenzo Musetti qualified for the third round of the French Open 2025 with a clear three-set victory over Daniel Elahi Galán. The Italian dominated the match on Court Simonne Mathieu, underlining his current strong form on clay.

The 22-year-old Musetti, seeded eighth, prevailed 6:4, 6:0, 6:4 against the Colombian lucky loser Daniel Elahi Galán. Despite a few rain interruptions, the Italian kept control of the match. Musetti gave his opponent no chance, especially in the second set, conceding just five points. Galán was able to put up resistance for a short time in the third set, but Musetti remained focused and secured victory after just over two hours of play.

In the third round, Musetti will face Argentinian Mariano Navone, who previously beat Reilly Opelka. The match is scheduled for Friday, May 30, with the exact time and venue to be announced.

Musetti has already won 16 matches in the current clay court season, making him the third most successful player on this surface behind Francisco Cerúndolo and Carlos Alcaraz. By reaching the third round, he also celebrated his tenth victory at the French Open - more than at any other Grand Slam tournament.
