HC Falkensteiner Pustertal is about to finalize its squad planning and presents a well-known newcomer: Cole Bardreau will be on the hunt for goals for the Black & Yellows in the new season. The American, who celebrates his 32nd birthday on July 22, is coming to Europe for the first time and was brought to Pustertal on the recommendation of former Pustertal player Reece Willcox (2021-2023 with HCP).
In view of Bardreau's impressive curriculum, the sporting management around Patrick Bona did not have to hesitate for long: the striker can look back on eleven appearances in the NHL and no less than 559 games in the AHL back.
Bardreau already represented his home country at two Junior World Championships during his time as a student. In 2011 at the U18s in Germany and in 2013 at the U20s in Russia, he led the US team to the gold medal as vice-captain. After his college days, he made a seamless transition to professional ice hockey. Although he was never drafted, he established himself in the New York Islanders organization and earned eleven NHL appearances for the Islanders through strong performances in the AHL.
As the new number 10 of HC Falkensteiner Pustertal, Bardreau is now starting a new chapter. Fans can look forward to an exciting team going into the 2025/26 ICE season.
