Zocca – Vasco Rossi has reported a ligament injury in his left shoulder. In a public Instagram post on Sunday, October 18, the Italian rock musician described two falls and the discomfort he experienced while recovering from back surgery. In a photo posted with the post, he is seen smiling with his left arm in a brace. He has not yet decided whether to undergo further surgery on his shoulder.
Rossi sustained his first injury after returning from the tour while taking a walk in the Zocca forest, as he himself explained. He slipped into a hole on a wet path and grabbed hold of a root with his left arm. In doing so, he felt severe pain in his shoulder. At first, he kept the incident to himself; with treatment and swimming, the pain had subsided.
After that, he began experiencing pain in his legs, which was related to a problem with his spine. After undergoing tests in Bologna, the doctors recommended that he have back surgery. Even before his scheduled admission to the hospital, Rossi fell again: while riding his bike on wet pavement, he fell onto his left elbow, putting strain on the same shoulder once more.
Vasco Rossi is focusing on physical therapy for now
When he was admitted to the hospital for spinal surgery, his shoulder was already causing him severe pain, the musician reported. After the back surgery, he began experiencing symptoms in both areas of his body. A subsequent ultrasound examination revealed significant damage to his shoulder. The treating specialist therefore advised him to undergo another surgery. Rossi said he was considering it; for now, he has a lot of physical therapy ahead of him.
In his report, the singer looked back on the sequence of injuries and treatments. Sunday’s release did not specify the exact dates of the falls. Nor was a date announced for a possible shoulder surgery or a specific duration for his recovery. Rossi addressed his fans with a message of optimism and assured them that he would keep going despite the discomfort.
