Turin - What was supposed to start as a clarifying conversation between two women ended in a bloody and dramatic confrontation. In the metropolis of Turin, a woman bit off part of her love rival's finger during a violent argument.
Double life exposed
The two women, who are around 50 years old and live in the area around the city, had been having a love affair with the same man independently of each other and completely unaware of each other. When the double affair finally came to light, the two women arranged to meet last Monday evening on Corso Sebastopoli in Turin to talk. Their mutual lover was also present at the meeting.
However, the situation quickly got completely out of hand. The initial loud shouting and mutual shoving turned bitterly serious: in the course of the heated debate, one of the women lunged at her opponent and bit off one of her fingers completely.
Trip to the hospital and report
As the injured woman's heavy bleeding would not stop on its own, the man who was so bitterly fought over, of all people, intervened. Without further ado, he put both women in his car and drove them as quickly as possible to the emergency room of the nearby Mauriziano hospital. From there, the victim immediately alerted the police, saying: „Come on, I need urgent help. I've been attacked.“
The medical staff at the hospital treated the wound and gave the injured woman an estimated recovery time of around 40 days. She will now have to undergo an operation during which doctors will attempt to reattach the severed finger. The police officers who arrived at the hospital took statements from the two rival women and the man. The attacker was officially charged with assault.
