Limbiate - The carabinieri of the province of Monza Brianza have arrested a 46-year-old Romanian citizen in Limbiate. The Milan public prosecutor's office has charged him with serious criminal offenses, including domestic abuse and grievous bodily harm. An investigating judge then issued a pre-trial detention order. The man was taken to the San Vittore prison in Milan.
The authorities' investigations have gathered serious evidence. The accused is said to have repeatedly violently assaulted his ex-wife since April 2025. According to reports, the assaults often occurred while the man was under the strong influence of alcohol. Particularly tragic: in some cases, their underage children had to witness the acts.
GPS tracker hidden on ex-wife's car
The decisive factor for the immediate execution of the arrest warrant was a particularly serious incident that took place on November 5 in Seregno. According to the investigation, the man had located his ex-wife using a GPS transmitter that he had secretly attached to her car.
After he had tracked her down, he is said to have brutally attacked her. According to the allegations, he doused her and her face with a flammable liquid. The woman suffered irritation which had to be treated at Desio Hospital. She was hospitalized for observation; the doctors forecast a recovery period of 15 days.
The authorities point out that the presumption of innocence applies to the accused until a final conviction is handed down.
