Dealer network in Franciacorta dismantled
Chiari – The Carabinieri have dealt a significant blow to organized drug trafficking in the province of Brescia. In a coordinated operation in Chiari, Capriolo, Coccaglio, and Rovato on Thursday morning, court orders were executed against nine individuals. Four of the alleged ringleaders were sent to prison, while another suspect was placed under house arrest. Four others are required to report regularly to the police.
The raid was preceded by months of complex investigations that lasted from November 2024 to March 2025. During this time, officers uncovered a widespread drug network believed to have been operated primarily by Tunisian nationals. According to investigators, the group dealt in hashish, cocaine, and ketamine. They found customers in numerous municipalities across the province, including Chiari, Rovato, Brescia, and Adro.
Drugs were also sold to minors
During the months-long surveillance operation, the Carabinieri were able to arrest eight individuals in the act. In the process, they seized approximately 1.5 kilograms of hashish, 100 grams of cocaine, and various doses of ketamine. Particularly alarming: Investigators identified a total of 140 buyers, including several minors.
Until a final judgment is rendered, all those named are presumed innocent.
